Oil Painting - In the Light of the Old Masters

Gearoid Hayes, Dublin based artist, trained in Florence at the Academia Italiana art school, and later spent 4 years at the Charles Cecil Studio where he became an assistant instructor.

This 3 day painting course focuses on the figure and portrait. He will teach painting techniques of the old masters. This workshop will present sound historic principles of classical painting which can easily be used by contemporary artists.

The instructor will lecture on methods for achieving a solid design, the anatomical structure of the head, palette layout, brush handling and color mixing.

Cost is €275 including lunch for the 3 days.
